Pancakes meet curry

Here is my weekly highlight. I have some interesting story to tell. Some of you might already know that i named my NFxMomotaro “Pankeki” (pancakes in Japanese) since i have some massive stacks on her and they look like pancakes. Last week i spilled some chicken curry sauce on Pankeki accidentally and the curry stain still stayed there even though i already cleaned it with a damped cloth.

I also went to Amsterdam, visited the denim store called Tenue de Nimes. They carry some Momotaro and Naked&Famous too and i love how they hang their jeans there.

Then i saw this book, the first thing came through my mind was Rob’s jeans “Mr Freedamn” so i took a picture for Rob.

At the same day i had some sandwiches with minced beef for lunch. i know it’s nothing comparing to Taavi’s Char Kwe Teow or Mario’s Mie Penang but it was worth a try and all i can say it is one of the best bakery cafes in Amstedam.

On my daily basis, i’m busy doing my experiment in the laboratory.

The pictures i took below at day 44, you can see some major faded areas especially honeycombs, whiskers, knees, stacks and also my right backpocket.

Pancakes are better with syrup than curry!

Curry stains are notorious! My white organic cotton wife-beater (tank-top) agrees with that! My jeans have however met with baby poop and hokkien mee, but these things are far easier to clean than curry stains! Still the jeans look really nice. Haha, nice food pic as well!

  3. Hi Ika, the jeans start to live & look nice…Mine are far behind however. Ah, tenue de nimes, next time you say hi to menno & renee for me? With them, it all about the details (idem for their Redwing store), and they are very good at this. congrats for this duo! Yup, I got the name from the book(s), as I adore those.

Some red wine splashed on my jeans in a minor kitchen accident, one day after I washed it. Wiped it off, and no stain so far :D
