The other day i found a rare pair of Momotaro on Ebay, then i asked Taavi if there was such a thing besides GTB and Copper label for ladies. Apparently there was another label called Peony label and it was no longer existed. Lucky me i won bidding and got this deadstock Momotaro jeans on my size.
the fabric is 14.7oz just like GTB ladies label but it has Copper ladies label arcuate with 2 color threads; yellow and pink.
size 28 is measured
waist: 28″
rise: 10″
thigh: 10″
leg opening: 7.8″
inseam: 32″
Yes, the cutting is straight like guys jeans but the top block is still tight just like girls jeans in general. It’s very interesting pair of Momotaro jeans, the cutting is not common for ladies, i can say it’s more like ladies version of KikstyoxMomotaro collabs.

Very nice Ika! Finally pics of the Peony Label. Really loved the style of the label I looked into the products back in 2008 but they were already switching to the Ladies GTB and Copper Labels back then. But nice relaxed fit. The current straight cut designs are far slimmer than these. At least based on the pics.
thanks Taavi, i really like the relaxed fit as well. i guess this peony reflects the vintage ladies cut, high rise + straight leg which is the opposite of ladies cuts nowadays, low-medium rise + tight/slimmer cut.
