About

Project Wear and Tear is a global wear and tear project with participants from all over the globe wearing out their jeans the best way they can. The purpose of the project is not to have just another denim contest, we want a fun project that shows how different jeans evolve worn by different people in different environments. So the whole point is to have fun and share denim as well as life stories on the side. To keep things interesting we put up a little carrot for the project. At the end of the project the readers can vote for a “winner”, whom will get a pair of jeans of his/her choice. Naturally something from the basic lines, excluding Gold or Silver Label Momotaro Jeans. In the end we don’t think a fun project needs too many rules and regulations, but since there is a price involved it’s better to have some, which you can read here.

I guess half of the participants are still waiting for their jeans. The good thing is that the jeans are ready and in transit, so any day now. :)
Good that some of the participants already have their jeans and we can get the project started. And the rest of us will catch up, that’s for sure!

  3. Mmm…lucky me, I got mine already…but, for those who haven’t got their, I’ll keep mine packed untill feb 14, my kick-off date. A special day for a special project :-)

What we should try to arrange, between the 9th & 12th month, is a gathering of all participants, let’s name it our ‘quickening’, (@NDH HQ?) I dunno if this is possible, but I think it would add a nice and personal touch to the project as well as a nice gesture to the ‘host’ of this all, Mr Taavi.
Maybe to early right now, but who’s also positive about this?

Cheers Rob. Nice to hear your kick-off date. Things will start running slow and steady… Meet-up would be nice, but would require “some” arranging. Maybe meet-up on a neutral ground would be cool as well. But being as international project as it is, it would be cool although at the same time challenging getting the participants to same spot. But hey, never say never. :)

Let’s not get ahead of ourselves and let’s take one step at a time. It’s all good, the first post… It’s anyone’s game now? My kick-off posts don’t count. :D

meeting up at some point in time on neutral ground is s.th. we can talk about sooner or later. good idea. but first things first, wearing and tearing. cheers…

Interesting that the “About” page has become an official message board. :D
Nothing against it, it just happened to be a page from where I didn’t remove the commenting. :D

  7. Hey Taavi,
Can my wife Nora unofficially join in? She started wearing her 7003SP a week ago… Would be nice to see a girls Momotaro developing.

  8. Taavi Kuisma says:

Sure. That said she would be third lady to take part in the project. :)
